Things that have H1 and N1

by Carl on December 17th, 2009

Holy crappers, what a week. I do apologize about the weeks slack of updates as I was out battling evil bacteria that were not minions as advertised.

I recently got the flu from most likely my conniving son whose alignment I just noticed was chaotic evil (always read the small print on the birth certificate). Now I felt a bit lousy before I decided to go get this infamous H1N1 vaccine but just went for it due to the lineups. Well there was no lineup and it went pretty smooth. They make you watch an instructional video promoting it’s benefits and then you go in line if you still want it.

I started out with a sore arm shortly after with increased pain in the day. Eventually my whole body ached, then throat was sore. So things progressed till I woke up yesterday and I could barely head in to work. I dragged my feet and finally made it in. But I pretty much slept at work all day since I couldn’t do anything. Thankfully my partner was there to back me up. But imagine I got worse and had to be driven home. As soon as I got home I just crashed in bed.

Today I feel highly medicated but much better. I don’t attribute it to the shot though. Well maybe some of the side symtoms. But it’s kind of ironic to get the flu (whichever flu it may be) and then get the shot. I fall into one of those higher risk categories being asthmatic and all.  Well hopefully the worst is over and we can get back to some more interesting news though this end of the season tends to be pretty dead.
