In a bit of oldish news White Wolf has posted their schedule of upcoming products which go right till June 2011. Now that is advanced warning people. I think they want you to adequately save your cash. Warnings are always good this way. So if your curious then check out the schedule. What are you interested in?
Over at Dark Providence they had a wonderful opportunity to have a nice moderated chat with Eddy Webb who as some may know does the White Wolf Podcasts. There is a full transcript of what was said at this lovely convenient direct link I highly recommend checking it out.
The EVE collectible card game will be making a visit to the Origins 2010 show at 1PM June 24th thanks to Christian Herr who is organizing this event. For more information on what to bring and for the official announcement of this event, click here.
A few days ago White Wolf released the Manual of Exalted Power: The Alchemicals. As the title kind of hints at you will have all the information you need on making an alchemical character. From there you will have charms and information on the protocols, gods and the automata of Autochthonia
White Wolf has released a lovely new PDF entitled A Thousand Correct Actions which details military quotations, new charms and updated charms for Dragon Blooded. I love the concept of inexpensive PDF that add both crunch and fluff to your games. Rock on!
White Wolf has released the Scroll of Exalts which will detail a bunch of characters from the Exalted mythos and statted to boot. You will also find handy over 70 ready made allies and baddies for your game.
Not too bad for those mining ideas for their games. So run out and go grab yourself a copy.
Well I like when there is so much fluff and crunch that it reaches beyond the constraints of a book and makes it’s way to a PDF expansion. The book in question was The Compass of Terrestrial Directions, Vol. II—The Wyld. With titles like that no wonder the book filled up. Well now you can get the PDF extra called Splinters of the Wyld over at DriveThruRPG
Well I started browsing for news and guess what….most are on vacation still which means I should be too. Nobody sends me the memo. It’s ok, I can move past that but here are some things that did go on that is pretty interesting.
1. Fantasy Flight Games seem to be switching up the LCG format a bit to offer triplicates of new cards and making the packs with 60 cards in them. I guess this is good but I am not sure I am a huge fan of the LCG format. I got the Call of Cthulhu LCG from my wife and I am excited to play it but I still don’t like the concept that everyone is on the same base. I see the appeal and call me totally elitist but having played Magic: The Gathering I like having totally random boosters and having that little edge. And it’s not so much a matter of spending the most money to get the most benefits either as I am rather moderate in buying boosters. I just go with what I got.
2. Speaking of the LCG a new Call of Cthulhu expansion pack is now available. It’s entitled The Search for the Silver Key
3. Finally have some White Wolf news. Got a new Storyteller Adventure System module entitled Through the Ebon Gate which is for Geist
4. There is a full set of maps available for Dungeon 173 over at Wizards of the Coast
Well White Wolf had a developer panel recently at ICC 2009 and some interesting information is coming down the pipe line. It seems like some online tools are on the way. That would be pretty wicked as online is the way things seem to be trending to. Obviously playing in person will be a staple but digital tools for netbooks and laptops are essential. I wonder if they will head down Wizards route of subscription based services or will they be our BFF and make it totally free. You want to be my BFF White Wolf? Don’t hit my wallet
Like a sticky band aid of proverbial health, Exalted 2nd edition gets a nice little errata update from White Wolf. This will be very handy since I started digging through my Exalted game notes again.
